Step 2 – Choose Your Rotation Angle

• 90° clockwise: Rotates all pages a quarter turn to the right. Use this if pages are rotated 90° to the left (text reads up the side).

Think about which direction your pages need to go. If text is running from bottom to top along the right side, you need a 90° clockwise rotation. If it's running from top to bottom on the left, you need 270°.

Tips for Rotating PDFs

• Check all pages first: If only some pages are rotated incorrectly, consider splitting the PDF first, rotating just those pages, then merging everything back together.
• Scanned documents: Rotation is especially common with scanned documents. After rotating, you may want to compress the file to reduce its size.
• Before merging: If you are about to merge multiple PDFs, make sure all their pages are correctly oriented first. Fix rotations before merging.
• Landscape vs portrait: Some documents are intentionally landscape (wide). Make sure you're rotating a document that actually needs it, not one that's meant to be horizontal.

The current tool rotates all pages uniformly. To rotate only selected pages, use the Split PDF tool to extract those pages, rotate them separately, then merge all pages back together in the original order.

Will rotation affect the text content of my PDF?

No. Rotation is a display operation — the text, images, and all content within the PDF remain unchanged. Only the viewing orientation is modified.

Does the rotated file look the same in all PDF viewers?

Yes. The rotation is saved into the PDF file itself, so it displays correctly in Adobe Acrobat, Chrome, Edge, Preview on Mac, and any other standard PDF viewer.

Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?
